Sounds like a repeat of what happened with the presidential EAS tests. Stress testing the emergency services and internet back a lot of them rely on to see what break.

We are … up to a point. Past that point without proper information it's hard to make the right decisions.

 

Myself I'd rather know if it was quitting time before it happened than keep on hiding my head in the proverbial sands. Glad you took looked it at the video. Lots to think over in there.

FCC to investigate CenturyLink as nationwide outage continues, 911 calls disrupted

 

Problems started early Thursday and continued into Friday, as the FCC launches an investigation into the outage and its effect on 911 calls.

If we can do that now, imagine what the prior batch of humanity might have done as well.

 

I would imagine they'd reassert themselves sometime after that catastrophe, if they had tech above what was most likely the most primitive levels after such an event. They could possible pass themselves off as gods to the new batch of locals above surface. So much for "muh aliens" not that there aren't any but this sounds more plausible.

 

Just a thought at this point.

Yeah nut sure a Dyson sphere would work here but maybe the equivalent around the main planet to act as shielding which would technically give you a hollow world at that point, and i wonder if the outer shell could acquire a new atmosphere at that point.
