I have nothing against metals. Pic related.

But I'm also a realist. The structure of the monetary system isn't the problem. The problem is who controls it and for what purposes. That is easy to fix and does not require going back to a gold standard.

I predict that this will be a scandal related to the Fed's management of gold for depositors. They say that each bar is nonfungible. And they charge a $2 per bar fee to physically move specific serial numbered bars between vaults. But when Germany asked for their gold back what the eventually got had been remelted. They were not the same bars. Hmmm. Fuckery alarms went off round the world.

I think it's going to be something in the same vein as this.
