You dismiss it, but if this Tiberius ben Pantera was the disenfranchised son of Emperor Tiberius who was stationed in Sidon, then clearly he could have had access to Mary, grand-daughter of Herod the Great. The stories of the two ben Pantera twin brothers is widely reported, if they were the sons of those two, then they would have held the lineages of Judea and Rome. If they got pushed aside by Caligula or others, then a centuries old grudge would certainly explain a lot. It might be the key to the peace plan if those lineages reunite in POTUS' family or something like that somehow…
