Hiya baker (thanks for baking!):

We decided last night that this Global Notable doesn't really have to be there.

>>>4308334 (You) List of meme-friendly news sites for spreading the truth

I explained that it was me who reposted it about a week ago. The content originated with some other anon on the memes bread and I simply captured it for reference without checking all of those sites.

Maybe some anons remember the discussion about taking it out of the Global Notables and can weigh in. I have no skin in the game.

All the long distance telephone services in the USA used to be owned by the Bell System. A massive antitrust case was settled in 1974 by a consent decree, breaking up the telephone monopoly. As a result, regional telephone companies such as Bell South, Pacific Bell, Centurylink, etc. each acquired a piece of the pie.

"Breakup of the Bell System - Wikipedia

This divestiture was initiated by the filing in 1974 by the United States Department of Justice of an antitrust lawsuit against AT&T. AT&T was, at the time, the sole provider of telephone service throughout most of the United States."
