If consumers, themselves, would only give a shit, the big "name" brands wouldn't have been able to deteriorate in quality so drastically. Rule of thumb is generally: The bigger the "name" (of conglomerate), the more overpriced garbage it actually is. People wont read ingredient labels because it tastes 'good" and advertising is deceptive. Chain restaurants are probably all guilty of the same (non) "quality".
