Maybe I’m just an autist, but it blows my mind anyone would be surprised by any of this. Evolutionarily there are huge disadvantages incurred by societal snap changes, it makes perfect sense to me that there must necessarily be a large countervailing morass of people unswayed by anything not learned through an approved authority structure during formative years.
