Mansion vs Compound - What's the difference?

As nouns the difference between mansion and compound is that mansion is estate while compound is an enclosure within which workers, prisoners, or soldiers are confined or compound can be anything made by combining several things.

As an adjective compound is composed of elements; not simple.

As a verb compound is to form (a resulting mixture) by combining different elements, ingredients, or parts.

Now when I was in the Marines, Brigs were often referred to as compounds due to there own fencing and guards on duty.

It would be a great gift if the obumers were in Gitmo. We could use some good news like that.

I disagree, but I will just say at this point. We are not on the same page on this. That is okay though. We both may be right, some will need to to see it all and some will not.

Future proves past. we will just have to wait and see.
