Seriously Anon. I've lived in a huge old house where mice would occasionally die within a floorboard or solid plaster wall. It would have been impossible to break through walls or tear up the floors. The best you can do is AVOID the smell as best you can because you will be breathing in god-only-knows-what. To that end, do not turn the heat up. You will only make it worse.

This is definitely true, but in that case, Anon should leave the abode and stay at a hotel for s few days. Then air the house out completely windows-wide-open before inhabiting.
