He was probably granted a direct, looks like he's vectored to ROOLL, which is going to be LAX or a nearby probably.

Denver Control will hand him off to Los Angeles Control when he nears the red arrows.

You'll learn a ton by just observing their movement. Also helps to have a basic understanding of the ATC system.
