Coloring on the chick reminds me of a water color on silk that made Dad had made while he was a young Airman at Tachikawa AFB during the occupation of Japan. The subject was my Mom (now 87) in a much more modest pose.

Some time back (years), sonanon turned me on to a related book: "Cryptonomicon" by Neal Stephenson with an entry by Bruce Schneier in the appendix. The appendix, by itself, is worth the price of admission. ISBN 0-06-051280-6 Just happened to turn it up in digging through the mess in the man-cave and thought I'd pass the recommendation along.
