Anyone else get weirdly excited by Q stringers? My imagination always kicks into high gear.
So I'm digging on the secure communications act which extends the fourth amendment protections to stored private data on third party ISP servers.
https:// en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stored_Communications_Act
It's been reported for a long time that the government (probably clowns/FBI) would come along and demand user emails/data and then slap the ISP with a national security gag order. This essentially violated the person's rights and gave them no recourse to fight it because the ISP was being strong armed to stay quiet.
This gets even murkier when you think about how Google/Facebook/Twitter are basically corporations annexed by the CIA/Deep State. I bet they got a bit too careless with how they were retrieving/exploiting user data and have been violating this act en masse for up to a decade or more.
