You won't get arrested for it, anon. Not in the U.S. at least - other nations might be more hard nosed, though.

Government officials/military could potentially get in trouble, though, if the documents are known to be classified by their nations. In practice, you probably wouldn't, but you could technically get wrangled into mishandling of classified materials if you decided to poke your head up and put a target on it.

I'm suspicious of the leak, as well.

Not to say we shouldn't look at what comes out, but to keep in mind that the leak is certainly not from "our guys." If they were concerned with spreading information/truth, they wouldn't be demanding hush money, or structuring the release to keep "the real stuff" locked away.

 

They are certainly trying to mess with the case - and that implies they have skin in the case or are working on behalf of those who do.
