I think the planes were holograms. Depends on the background whether you can see or not, and maybe the hologram was camouflaged by the frame rate and shutter speed of that camera. Or maybe that's fake.
A hologram would have a frame rate and shutter speed, there's other videos of the approaching planes missing wings and tail fins for a frame or 2. I don't think planes were cgi'd in just that the hologram wasn't visible from all viewpoints
That was an optical illusion I believe. Richard d Hall apparently traced the flight path from all the different videos of the planes approach and all the different videos were looking at the same planes and trajectories. Unless some group cgid planes into all the different videos. Holograms are also CGI though.
Watch 9/11 Alchemy. I think the reason they used holographic planes was because they weren't confident in their ability to get 2 real planes past air defences.
