How many Dems have officially come out and said they were a candidate for 2020? They all said they would wait until after the midterms yet nobody except CPL actually made it official ( then he took it back) The MSM posts all of their pictures but none of them have confirmed they are running. Why the stall after the big build up? Midterms were over 2 months or so ago.

ROTFLMMFAO! I found McConnell's leverage for getting Cryin' Chuck to agree on several confirmations!!!! The situation room meeting began at 3 EST and McConnell was 1st to leave without addressing press. He told Chucky that if he didn't agree to the nominations then McConnell would not convene at 4pm today. If McConnell didn't convene today then it was longer than the 3 days of recess and POTUS would blow out every nomination ( 350) as a recess appointment. POTUS can only do recess appointments if the recess is longer than 3 days.

>>4571643 they would not be valid. 10:01 tomorrow begins his authority to do it and singing something in the future is invalid. He can't pardon someone for crimes they haven't committed yet so he can only pardon for crimes up until the date of the signature. The same thing applies in this case. I don't think so. I think McConnell got the agreement from Schumer and opened the senate at or about 4 pm stopping POTUS from recess appointments. I don't have confirmation that he opened but it was on the schedule. If Schumer agreed then no need for McConnell to let the day slipped by and give POTUS the opportunity to sign all 350 tomorrow between 10:01 and 11:59

NO confirmation is posted anywhere that I can find. He left before everyone else though. It wouldn't make sense for Schumer to agree on nominations if McConnell was choosing not to convene at 4. Schumer was powerless if McConnell was waiting until noon tomorrow.

so what is your point? McConnell gets an agreement to confirm a large number of nominations before the end of this term. If McConnell doesn't gavel in by 10 am tomorrow POTUS signs 350 appointments. What effect does an agreement have if there has not been a gavel in? After 3 full days , POTUS has the power. He doesn't lose the power if they gavel in 1 minute late.
