These look like livestock sorting and handling facilities to me. Used during calving, to wean mother and baby, isolate sick animals, etc.

Constructed of stone because wood doesn't last long term. Steel pipe is used now for the same reason.

Some even of these pictures even show a lane leading into the handling facilities. This would go to a paddock where the animals would be grass fed, 100% organic
