How many days of data do you need for this comparison? The data is in web pages of 40 arrivals each and I don't know how far back in time you can go without paying for the data. They offer Excel download for a fee with a paid account; I'm just screenscraping with a free account. There are also departure tables, and civil aviation data separately. I am marking the military aircraft based on recognizing their callsigns but have not looked up each individual plane to ascertain if it's a commercial flight, military, or civil aviation. You're talking a HUGE amount of work, anon. I'm not against work but want to figure out what's the easiest way to arrive at the goal without unnecessary steps.

I think I can say this activity is highly unusual based on just watching military air traffic as planefags sometimes do, but I can see how you'd like to prove how unusual it is. Is it really worth that much work, when we MAY be finding out really soon through public sources about the happening?
