Hello Everyone,

It took me quite a while to get thru the comments about the quote/unquote explosion in Astoria Queens.

I went to take a look myself, as I live about 6 miles from there, first you may not know this but in a circle starting in the west is the power plant, slightly north is Rikers Island Jail, then slightly south east is LaGuardia airport. The ONLY places that lost power were Rikers Island Jail & LaGuardia Airport, where I am, absolutely not even a second of power loss. The immediate area, some say they had a moment where power went out. Notice how little press this entire thing got. Use Google Earth to check my facts please. As to the immediate area (20th Avenue) absolutely no indication of anything substantial having happened there. EPA & NY Power Authority are located there as well as Con Edison, the rest of the immediate area is not residential, for several blocks.

Please have whoever checks planes, see if a plane took off from the west end of the airport heading south. Someone posted a video of this, it would have to be an aborted landing.

I saw a video, people thought it was a heli, it wasn’t. But, it also was taking off to the South over the Grand Central Parkway, which is not possible. There is no runway there, could have been an aborted landing. Although the runway that is there takes off NE at normal times

Actually I haven’t been here in a long time, I wanted you all to know what I knew about the Astoria shit, I drove up there, first I went back and read a lot of what all of you posted and saw no one mentioned Rikers Island being right there
