Trump's attorney: 'Damn right, there will be a Giuliani report'
Rudy Giuliani, President Trump's attorney, vowed he would be ready to counter the findings of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. In an appearance on Fox News, the former New York City mayor said that he will offer his own take on Mueller's results. "It ends when he files his report and we can answer it. Whatever garbage he hands in, we're ready to respond to it," he told host Sean Hannity.
When asked, Giuliani said he will offer his own report. "Damn right, there will be a Giuliani report. Our report will be the definitive report, because it will be the truth. The president did nothing wrong," he said.
Giuliani also reiterated his position that Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 elections is an "illegitimate attempt" to go after the president. "This is an investigation in search of a crime and they haven't found one yet. Collusion is not a crime. It's not a crime," Giuliani said, repeating an assertion he has made previously and the president has echoed.
Mueller's investigation has so far snared several former Trump staffers, including former national security adviser Michael Flynn, former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his deputy Rick Gates, Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen, and former campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos, for crimes ranging from lying to federal investigators to campaign finance violations.
