As far as I can tell, they are hoping Mueller gives them something to go on. That would only be possible if he manufactures phony evidence. Given all of Trump's achievements, a claim of mental instability would be preposterous. He also has never demonstrated any sort of mental breakdown in his many public appearances.
"In a 2011 interview with Rashida Tlaib and Linda Sarsour, Rashida says that her family was questioned by the FBI after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Rashida claims that she was scared after 9/11 because she knew the FBI would come to question them.
In the interview, Rashida states: “We were really really scared. I was scared because we knew the FBI was going to come door knocking and they did. My mother had the first visit when my father wasn’t home and then my father had the swat team show up to his business. My brother, someone called the 800 number and said he was a terrorist.”
Rashida does not mention what came of the investigation nor could I find any documentation of her family being questioned. But what I find extremely worrisome is not just the fact that the FBI questioned Rashida’s family but that Rashida says they were living in fear, waiting for the FBI to question them. If Rashida’s family had no involvement how did they know they would be questioned by the FBI? Why were they so scared?"
