Eric Swalwell: Evidence isn't there for impeachment

The introduction of articles of impeachment announced by a congressman Thursday, the first day of the new session of Congress, earned some criticism from a fellow California Democrat.

Rep. Eric Swalwell said the introduction of articles of impeachment "is not a move that I support" in a CNN interview Thursday night.

Earlier in the day, Rep. Brad Sherman said he planned to re-introduce the articles, which he first helped put forward in 2017, charging that President Trump obstructed justice.

Swalwell, echoing party leaders, said that the evidence isn't there — yet.
