I am starting to think a prolonged shutdown is a Win-Win scenario for the USA.
Government employees will eventually need to find new jobs
-
the gov't will reduce in size
-
companies have access to a new pool of skilled blue and white collar workers
-
when the gov reopens they can hire competent employed
Those living on entitlements will eventually need to find jobs
-
fewer welfare and unemployment participants
-
less reliance on immigrants to fill menial/unskilled labor jobs
-
indigenous unskilled laborers receive on-the-job training and are no longer unskilled
I am certain there are many more benefits from a prolonged shutdown, but these two would make this anon happy.
