The president of the city’s biggest trade union suddenly resigned Thursday amidst an investigation into his involvement in labor corruption, the Daily News has learned.
Steve McInnis, president of the District Council of Carpenters, was asked to step down following allegations brought to the union’s court-appointed independent monitor.

Reuters) - The president of a Swiss foundation that conducted a $232 million online fundraiser for the embattled Tezos cryptocurrency project has stepped down, the foundation said in a statement on Thursday.
Johann Gevers, who helped set up the foundation in July, has been replaced by Ryan Jesperson, one of the project's contributors, the foundation said. Another board member Diego Olivier Fernandez Pons has also stepped down, while Michel Mauny, a computer programming academic has joined the board, the foundation said.

Feb. 22 (UPI) – Ford's North American chief stepped down from his position following an investigation into reports of inappropriate behavior, the company said.
According to a statement released on Wednesday by Ford, Raj Nair immediately exited the company after a review of his behavior showed he was "inconsistent with the company's code of conduct."

Joey Williams, a mainstay of Dayton city commission since 2002, is stepping down from his post effective Feb. 23 due to work duties.
Williams, Dayton market president of KeyBank, attended his last commission meeting on Wednesday evening. Williams has been a Dayton champion for decades.

The Food and Drug Administration sharply reduced regulations in 2017 while approving a record-setting number of generic drugs, a new report found.
The report released Thursday by the consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers' Health Research Institute said the agency approved a record number of generic drugs and products to treat rare diseases in 2017. The report comes a little more than a year after President Trump directed all federal agencies to significantly roll back regulations.

Where did The Storm come from?
The Storm began to churn in October on /pol/, a subforum of the anonymous message board 4chan. On the 28th, a poster who called himself "Q" and claimed to be a high-ranking government operative, warned of an upcoming "storm" that would sweep Washington. He said the country was in the "calm before the storm," a phrase spoken during a military photo op by President Trump which had caused nervous speculation about Trump's nuclear intentions toward North Korea.
