IMO, this is partly to do with shills trying to discredit the board. Again. People see that image and associate this board with idiots. If that was all I knew about this research, I would have dismissed everything associated with it–because that's what you do with stupid people.

Shills, and stupid people desperate to use Q to vindicate their own stupid conspiracies that they've probably been maligned for for years. "Q said they're withholding cures" becomes "vaccines cause autism." "Q (anything)" becomes "the earth is flat."

We aren't winning that particular battle–it's damaging us in the war.

True. I know that there are real people, with good intentions, that go for this stuff. I've spent so much of my life arguing with them over things like this–they'll believe anything, and once they get invested, they never let it die because they don't want to look stupid. This board may even prove me wrong in at least one conspiracy–9/11 being an inside job. And that's fine, because when I'd gotten into the argument, the solution people were pushing was that the government needed more power over us so they could clean up government. It was a part of the underlying current that swept Obama into office. Not as if there was any real choice that year.

And yeah, I acknowledge that there are real actors being paid to stir things up–but there needs to be -exquisite- evidence before you start accusing a bunch of shot-up kids. Fucking stupid.
