Newfag here. Read some math prof's analysis of Masonic Point in a Circle (aka lost symbol) a while back. Point in circle represents 366 (degrees in Sumerian circle). lines on either side of circle make 13661. Double and get 27322. Moon orbits Earth in 27.322 days, so is symbolic of Moon-Earth orbit, supposedly. (As in, Moon artificial and was engineered into orbit? Perfect fit for solar eclipses.)

Emailed this to author of Masonry for Dummies, he seemed to think it profound without divulging deets to non-Mason.

From memory, the 366 degree division of the circle supposedly reflects the fact that there are 366 sidereal days in an Earth year (or ~365.25 solar days). Solar day slightly longer by about 4 minutes.

So, symbol represents Sun-Earth-Moon orbital system. Butler-Knight argue the Moon is an artificially engineered structure.
