Going to try again… If there is a WALL vote tomorrow, it will not be held. Reason: We are one vote short if Romney, Murkowski, and Collins votes no. It will NOT be 50-50 with a Pence tie breaker until January 8. We are 1 Senator short until then.
Which takes the place of Pence if he's absent. But Rick Scott is Governor until January 8th so can't swear in until then. Exchange of power in Florida. McConnell granted the delay.
Senator Rick Scott gives us the wiggle room if Murkowski, Romney and Collins don't agree to get to 50-50 with Pence as the tie breaker.
And he can't vote absentee because he is not sworn in until January 8th. So no votes will take place before then if McConnell is smart. Which I think he is.
Just gonna place this here so we know where the ONE weak area is.
To be honest, I think 40% is about all we could handle. Probably so much more we've never thought about.
…and there goes one.
Senators Susan Collins (R., Maine) and Cory Gardner (R., Colo.) broke with fellow Republicans Thursday evening by calling on President Trump to sign a spending bill and end the ongoing government shutdown without securing funding for a border wall.

Two of them. Collins and Gardner.
I'm with you on that. Mainly watching the Senate to see if Trump goes nuclear with the wall. Right now, if a vote were held, we would be 50/50 and then Pence IF McConnell used the nuclear option. If we lose Murkowski or Romney, Trump will have to do this the hard way.
Remember what I said… Senator Rick Scott won't be Senator until January 8th.
With these two gone, it is 50-49 with one Senator missing. Not good, and we don't know if there are any other defectors yet.
NO which is what I was saying about Gov/Sen Rick Scott. He is NOT sworn in until January 8th. We only have 99 Senators until then.
In the long run it won't matter because Trump will do National Emergency which will be messy. I was hoping for a more peaceful way.
I agree that Romney isn't that bad and would vote for a wall. Murkowski… not so much. I think I worry about Schumer trying to push the vote BEFORE January 8th if he see's the opportunity to sway Murkowski. With one vote absent and 3 gone, it makes it 49/50
Right now we are at 52- 7 NOT 53-47. Now deduct 2 for Collins and Gardner. That is 50-49. If Murkowski votes with Collins, then it will be 49-50. Pro tem no longer matters.
Nope, Scott will vote for the wall.
