the old days of ZH are long gone. I can remember having to solve a math captcha before they got their own domain. In those days, the comment section was as wide open as /pol/ or 8chan with a much smaller group of really smart people across a wide swath of occupations. the main difference is there's no image posting allowed except for a chosen few.
Nowadays, it's full of clickbait and the comment section is getting stupid like something on Yahoo made worse by the loss of a lot of old-time posters. Oldest memberships just turned 10 years old, sad.
