8 U.S. Code § 1324 – Bringing in and harboring certain aliens

Perhaps a lawfag could weigh in on this. Why is this law not applied to state and local govt officials of sanctuary jurisdictions as the article explains? Note the stiff penalties in the case of a death described in 1Biv;

(iv) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) resulting in the death of any person, be punished by death or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, fined under title 18, or both.

Right. Speculating on the possible justice vectors. Violent ones; human trafficking, other violent crimes, should be a priority. Non-violent ones; election fraud, harboring illegals, white collar crimes could be left to simmer.
