Agree it's combo of public corruption, human trafficking cleanup, who knows what else. The numbers are just too large to ignore.
The majority of these sealed proceedings are filed in district courts that have jurisdiction over the respective state capitals. Illinois, Central District, has jurisdiction over Springfield. That's the "swamp" here. Haven't looked at latest numbers but northern district of Illinois (think Chicago) doesn't have quite as many (few hundred less) but I-80 crosses into Illinois within the northern boundaries of the Central District. So it could be either for corruption in Springfield or human trafficking right across the border, or both plus more shit. Who knows.
Yep I've been there a few times on my way up to northeastern Iowa. Great food and only God (and some awful human beings) know(s) what's happening behind the scenes. Insofar as Illinois, this shithole, see my post (below) w/ theory on why so many sealed proceedings filed in Central District of Illinois and not Northern (which I affectionately call the "District of Chicago").
