This is… News? This should be a given capability with today's weapon systems. Multi-mode radars with active electronically scanned arrays (AESA) have this ability inherently. Even the old AWG-9 had this capability, though it was more limited to phoenix missile, as the missile had a built-in T/R radar module for terminal guidance. Which is basically what the AMRAAM has.
It sounds like the achievement is in the terminal guidance of the missile - though … This was one of the design requirements for the AMRAAM 20 years ago, so I fail to understand the flowery language being used. There is some "integrated sensors" stuff - but the F-14 had a long range camera that was tracked to the radar and connected Aim-9 seeker heads. This is nothing new and should have been part of the default design. It seems more like they are trying to market the F-35 than anything else. Considering the F-15E and the proposed F-15S would naturally inherit these advances assuming they fall within the export guidelines, as well as the F-16 and F-18 - there is literally no reason to purchase the F-35.
