but yeah, mobilizing a nation of people in the streets and cities is "nothing happening".
oh and Macron is just the actor playing the part, people know that as well… sure they want his head, but they want more and are weary of a simple actor change.

you have a very limited view of benefits of the people meeting up to protest.
it goes far beyond the actual "protest", it in itself is indeed just a show.
the contacts, strength, network, and awakening of the people involved and those around to see and FEEL it in their bones, that's priceless.

all during 2018, france and french people spent hours and books and tv specials commemorating may68, celebrated as a major part of contemporary history. Why may68? protests. a movement.
that comparatively isn't that much bigger than what is happening now, if not smaller already.
so 40years later and it's still propped up as game-changing… but people should just go home because you can't see how they're talking back control of their lives?
