Those arguments are trounced by all of the studies of the effects of immigration conducted during the last 25 years or so.

Pre and post immigration educational attainment levels have fallen over time. Dependency on welfare and non participation in the workforce have all been on an upward trend.

Proponents of immigration hope you won’t understand the real position and that you’ll think it’s still like the 19th or early 20th centuries, when immigrants were predominantly Europeans. The 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act changed several centuries of established migration patterns. I wonder who would want to do that…

Go dig for yourselves. It’s all supported by solid social science. And it’s compelling in the conclusions.

Those arguing for immigration either: (1) want to supplant the US population of European origins; and/or (2) want to reduce wage rates and destabilize the bargaining power of workers.

Rs and Ds are just the same in terms of outcomes. Fox is merely the mouthpiece of business oligarchs like the Kochs, multinationals, and scumbags like the execrable Bloomberg.

It’s the same as automobiles. If you just want to get from A to B, any production vehicle can serve you well. If you want more than mere conveyance, and can afford it, you have Rollers, Bentleys, Lambos, and Ferraris.

IWC watches are representative of the craftsmanship of the pre-industrial age. Everything is handmade. Everything.

And they’re relatively inexpensive compared with analog calendar complications.

I no longer wear a watch at all, but fine timepieces are undeniably beautiful marvels.
