Very interesting article I found discussing the DoD global communication gateway that is located in Hawaii. And thats the only one in the world. Now get this, the purpose being it is the only way to protect user locations…remember POTUS stops in Hawaii and Twitter tracking problem.

Now the gateway is fed by none other than the Iridium global satellites owned by Iridium Communications headquartered in McLean, Virginia. Also, SpaceX sent up a new iridium satellite just a couple of months ago.
