I am a fan of what I know of Dune, but I haven't yet sat down and actually read it - want to.
Love is empathy, usually genetic not learned.
It has to be beaten to a pulp and remade into a spear, one that is capable of destroying all those who pose a threat.
This is the yin and yang issue I worry about with religions and dogmas and other modalities as such.
That those who already are predisposed to lean in a certain direction (love) build structures that reinforce how they ALREADY ARE. It is a disaster .
People who are already predisposed to being empathetic should build mythologies of themselves being ruthless.
This is balance.
But should I watch it if I want to read the books at some point?
