De-fanging the MSM in 2019: How they lie and how to expose them
An anon posted on a story claiming that conservatives mocked Ocasio-Cortez for her college dancing videos. Dave Rubin replyed as follows: "The story was completely made up. Fake News for all to see." He went on to say that many such stories are created by leftwing journalists to smear those they don't like; see >>4620661 pb). But in an open forum, anyone can post. Anyone. Like the C_A. MSM. Foreign agents. Even aliens. (Aliens??? Hey, don't quote me as a tin-foil hatter, MSM, just JOKING!!!)
Here's the strategy I'd use if I were a lying, ruthless, amoral SOB who would use "any means necessary" to destroy those with whom I disagreed:
-
Hire someone to post objectional material (racist memes, etc) in a way where identity can't be easily traced (e.g. the chans)
-
Claim your enemies did it ("extreme rightwingers")
-
Condemn the enemies for hate speech ("Racist!" "Sexist!" "Nazi!")
-
Claim that hate speech "has been shown" to cause hateful action (fake science, but what the hey??)
-
Demand the haters be silenced (social media policies tightened, laws enacted)
IMO, this is exactly what the DS and their minions have been doing. Can't prove #1, but neither can they prove it's conservatives who post nasty memes. Anons know it's shills. They probably do, too. In fact, in some case, they probably ARE the shills.
Time to de-fang the MSM
a. Make them objectively define hate speech
They can't.
'''b. Re the idea that violent talk violent behavior:'''
Do they think going straight to violence is better? Or that we should ban debate clubs?
c. Re "objectionable" posts on the chans:
Don't they know it's dumb to attack a group for its content, when it's an open forum where ANYONE can post?
d. Challenge the idea that AI is good enough to decipher our intent using language:
If today's AI is so good, how come our pricey phones still can't decipher what we say to them half the time?
Caps
Examples of the fake analyses and (mostly) cluster analystical tools the MSM trots out to show that conservatives are violence-prone, Nazi extremists. Lotsa sizzle, not much steak. Based on loose correlations, at best. Rely mainly on appeals to authority, well-articulated lies, and top notch graphics (links are below).
= Data & Society pdf reveals the "alternative influence network" (AIN), 60 "extremist" YT channels linked to show their influence.
= Network Contagion Research Inst: Cluster analysis depicts how objectionable memes are interrelated and spread (purports to show that anons accustom people to anti-semitic memes by pairing them with "nice" memes like Pepe on /pol/)
= AlgoTransparency: Branching algorithm purported to show how YT directs users to sites that supposedly attract more users and/or espouse more "extreme" views, leading to the radicalization of users.
