Mid-August in Monterey is historic car event at Laguna Seca racetrack. The entire area is douche central for about 2 weeks. Minimum stays at hotels everywhere. A regular room at a best western runs about $300/night with 4-5 night minimum.
Off the charts those 2 weeks.
Stopped going as I could not afford any of it.
Wall st took that event over big time.
