Lived in Detroit in the 70s and 80s.

Live in Chicago since late 80s.

all the signs are there in Chicago that were taking place in Detroit - economically, politically and socially. Detroit didn't fail because it was dependent on the automotive industry. It was run politically by the same corrupt machine, and Detroit can attest to large companies outside of the automotive industry suddenly becoming nomadic.
