Ex's father was a vet. Paratropper with messed up back/neck from doing tons of jumps. Went crazy a whole bunch - drinking, threatening to shoot an intruder that ended up being his daughter - stuff like that. Eventually quit taking pain meds for some reason and started smoking pot. Within 6 months he was a changed man. It was eye-opening seeing the change first hand. Makes me wonder reading all of this.

Yeah I remember what that video came out. Looking back, the 90s MTV generation was fucked. Big time. The shit that MTV hit the kids with was terrible. Aside from this video you had the depressing Seattle scene, Kurt Cobain blew his face off, Marilyn Manson, gangsta rap, The Real World you name it. It sure "set the stage" for where we are at now thats for sure.
