Supreme Court Votes Friday on Whether to Fast-Track DACA Appeal
WASHINGTON, DC — The Supreme Court could announce as early as Friday that it will hear arguments on whether President Donald Trump has the legal authority to end DACA.
President Barack Obama created the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty program for illegal aliens in 2012. In 2014, Obama expanded DACA into DAPA (Deferred Action for Parents of Americans). In 2015, the Fifth Circuit federal appeals court struck down DAPA as illegal, and then the Supreme Court deadlocked 4-4 on the issue after Justice Antonin Scalia passed away in February 2016.
Shortly after President Donald Trump took office, the Justice Department determined that DACA is illegal for the same reasons the courts struck down DAPA. The Department of Homeland Security accordingly announced that it would end DACA.

How To Secede From The Biology Wars
The government shutdown has put a fine point on what everyone now recognizes. The struggle for control of the institutions of the United States government has turned into a full tribal war. Us vs. Them. Pick a side, rally for your team, never believe anything the other team says, declare everything an emergency, pose as the victim when you don’t get your way, fantasize about the final defeat of your enemies, and dream of the spoils that will come your way when history declares you the winner.
Polarization Worse Than You Think
You might say this is nothing new. Politics is always this way. It’s one side vs. the other. True, but it is getting worse. The two parties now vote as a block, almost without exception. You think you are voting for the man or woman. Actually, you are voting for a D or an R. The enforcement of party discipline these days compares to the totalitarian regimes of the interwar period. As candidates, they only pretend to have particularized opinions; as elected politicos, they comply or else.
But there is an even more vicious twist to the current struggles that go beyond politics as usual. What began as conventional politics has mutated into a culture war which took what now appears to be an inevitable turn to become a demographic war. It’s one group vs. another; at least this is what we are being told by the clerisy on a daily basis. We are being encouraged to think that there is no difference between politics and biology, same as with certain well-known nationalist movements in interwar Germany.

U.N Secretary Ignorant of 5G and WiFi Exposure Risks Promises to Consult with World Health Org Who Issued Warnings Years Ago
Sometimes reality bites really hard. This video featuring the U.N. It’s worth re-sharing again for many reasons – one of them being that the secretary promised to consult with the World Health Organization (WHO) about this. This is good because the WHO has been issuing warnings for many years already about exposure risks. For 20 years, insurance companies have refused to cover wireless radiation exposure risks too.

Despite scientifically proven risks and increasing protest, there are campaigns being promoted and implemented forcing the installation of more sources of wireless radiation on homes and throughout communities all over the world and even in outer space.

Catholic Church Used Bankruptcy for Sexual-Assault Cases. Now Others Are Following Suit.
Catholic dioceses and related entities have paid out nearly $4 billion in costs linked to about 19,000 sexual-abuse allegations, including bankruptcy settlements.
The Archdiocese of Portland was the first to do it. Three months later the Roman Catholic Diocese in Tucson, Ariz., followed suit and three months after that the diocese in Spokane, Wash., did it, too.
They all filed for bankruptcy and since then more than 15 other Catholic dioceses and religious orders have filed for bankruptcy to seek protection from lawsuits by sexual-assault victims, resulting in about 4,000 claims seeking compensation for past wrongdoing. This year, three more Catholic dioceses announced intentions to file.

Pentagon receives request for more assistance at US-Mexico border
The Defense Department received a new request for more assistance along the U.S.-Mexico border from the Department of Homeland Security, defense officials confirmed Friday.
Pentagon officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the request is for “additional capabilities to support Customs and Border Patrol on the southwest border.” They would not elaborate.
An existing agreement between the two departments has about 2,350 active-duty servicemembers stationed within three states bordering Mexico to support Border Patrol agents, said Col. Cathy Wilkinson, public affairs director for U.S. Army North. About 600 of the deployed troops are in Texas, 650 are in Arizona, and 1,100 in California. The force size deployed to the border peaked at 5,900 servicemembers in mid-November.
The troops’ mission to “harden” the border included military engineers building barriers across about 70 miles using coiled razor wire, according to information released in late December by U.S. Northern Command. Military police units have conducted more than 10,000 hours of unit training and combined rehearsals with Border Patrol in all three states. Military rotary wing aviators have flown more than 740 hours.
Servicemembers from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines arrived on Oct. 31 and were expected to leave by the end of January. It was unclear Friday whether the new request would extend their stay beyond that deadline, officials said.

"Stop the treason": Big turnout at fifth week of protests against Serbian President
Thousands have taken to the streets in the Serbian capital of Belgrade late on Sunday to protest - for the fifth week in a row - the policies of the country's president, Aleksandar Vucic.
Demonstrators carried banners with the words, "We are the people," "Stop the treason, defend the constitution and back the people" and "down with the thieves" as loudspeakers played recordings of the president's 'promises.'
Protesters are demanding electoral reform, better living conditions for retirees, public control over the distribution of wealth and various anti-corruption measures.
Last month, protesters marched with vuvuzelas (loud plastic horns) and flares in the city center, stopping at the building of Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) and demanding that the broadcaster gives protesters airtime to state their position.
The mass protests were sparked by an attack against an opposition party leader, Borko Stefanovic, who received a powerful blow to the head in late November. Police later announced that suspects in the case had been detained, but the country's opposition accused authorities of allowing political violence, Sputnik previously reported.
The first rally took place in the Serbian capital on December 8.
