I’m a professional researcher, I did a report for a client on this in about 2004. I couldn’t’t find it, several hard drives ago, but it may still be on the internet. I’ll look today.
My findings then is YES, this is true, but to what degree will never be known. Although I didn’t say this in my report, the information I read about the surrendering Iraqi troops was as if an exotic weapon had been used. There were many reports of Iraqis just going home.
