This shit hits very close to home. Over the past few years my girlfriend and I have been trying to find out more information about these practices in reference to neurology and stroke rehabilitation. Pitt, UPMC hospital (the largest “non government hospital”) and their affiliates seem to not want to release certain medical records referencing the brain. There was a ‘research’ hospital implemented at UPMC South Side that seems to have been involved in a lot this. After exorbitant amounts of funding, it subsequently closed after 2 years of operation.
