That's not bad, but nor very spectacular. They gave the soldier 5 categories and detected via brainwaves when the chosen category did appear.

Given they can control cursors on a screen using brainwaves by now, this would be more what I'm looking for (pic from 2011) when imagening "mind-reading".

Yup. It's quite some dangerous substance.

Not a fan of Vice at all, but they made a documentary/small report on scopolamine being used in Colombia for example on tourists.

 

After the tourists been administered the scopolamine, the perpetrators can tell them anything (like "Let's go to your house, and you give me all your money in your safe & all your furniture.") and the victim would do so "happily".

Victim would wake up next morning and not know what happened.
