No. A scalar wave is produced when two transmission sources focus their signals on the same place, and the signals intersect in such a way that amplitude cancellation occurs. But the energy that is cancelled out does not disappear. It becomes a stress in spacetime, in other words a signal with elevated amplitude in a 4th dimension.

When you're looking for things that could be scalar, always look for two sources transmitting at the same target. There are other ways to accomplish this such as non-linear optics devices that time-reverse a single signal, sending it back along its path towards its origin perfectly in phase with the original signal but moving in a time-reversed manner. If I recall correctly, laser cavities where the signal is reflected inside a confined chamber can also do it, as can some kind of device with a pulsed plasma. It's been a while since I put my mind on this stuff…
