Could 'Networks' have their public funding revoked if they refuse to cover the Presidential Address? pb Notable

WTF is this? Why would any network, sans PBS, receive public funding? They sell advertising and make a ton of money from it. Their salaries are enormous.

Broadcast companies are bought and sold all the time- for indecent amounts of money. How is that ok? If the public supported the media with funding, then the public should be compensated fairly for the sale, no?

But that's NOT what happens. Sales come and go, money remains within the corp and the public sees no return on its investment.
