Magnitz, chairman of Germany’s AfD party, was left for dead after being brutally beaten by three alleged assailants on Monday
He was reportedly saved after a builder intervened and chased off the three suspects, who remain at large.
He remains in hospital in a serious condition, a party spokesman said.
