Prof. Martin D. Ginsburg and Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg of Washington have made known the engagement of their daughter, Jane C. Ginsburg, to George T. Spera Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Spera of Mays Landing, N.J.
An August wedding is planned. The future bride was graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Chicago, where she also received an M.A. degree.
She and her fiance graduated last year from the Harvard Law School. She is a law clerk for Judge John J. Gibbons of the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in New Jersey and Mr. Spera is clerking for Judge Arlin M. Adams of the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in Philadelphia.
Professor Ginsburg is on the faculty of Georgetown University Law Center. His wife sits on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Mr. Spera was graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University. His father is a certified public accountant in Mays Landing and his mother, Mary C. Spera, is a tax collector for Hamilton Township in New Jersey.
