Turn the governments rhetoric around and demand more rights and freedoms:

• the right to defend yourself (currently insanly illigal in NZ - like WTF)

• the right to conceal carry pistols

• the freedom from unjust wholesale spying on all New Zealanders

"If this shooting proved anything, it's that Kiwis should have lesser gun control and be allowed to conceal carry pistols and be allowed to defend themselves. How quickly would have this mass shooter been stopped if just one of those people had a pistol at hand and prevented many more death and injuries. It's not the law abiding citizens who go on a killing spree. This guy had illigal gear, so tougher gun laws would not have stopped him anyway. And while I'm at it.
