Any NZ lawfags in here? If the govt owns any shares in any of these ISPs doing the blocking, aren't those ISPs contravening the Bill of Rights since the ISP is "in the performance of any public function, power, or duty conferred or imposed on that person or body by or pursuant to law."?
I would certainly expect Kordia is not doing any blocking since it is 100% govt owned.
Or is there some act that supercedes the Bill of Rights on this issue?
I'm just here for the Q; I want no part of any hate speech and this certainly feels like my right to freedom of speech has been violated.
