Seems a bit patchy. I think it's DNS based, and a lot of modems might have Google or Veritas backup servers, so…

Any NZ lawfags in here? If the govt owns any shares in any of these ISPs doing the blocking, aren't those ISPs contravening the Bill of Rights since the ISP is "in the performance of any public function, power, or duty conferred or imposed on that person or body by or pursuant to law."?

I would certainly expect Kordia is not doing any blocking since it is 100% govt owned.

Or is there some act that supercedes the Bill of Rights on this issue?

I'm just here for the Q; I want no part of any hate speech and this certainly feels like my right to freedom of speech has been violated.

Look, I understand them not wanting a video of that nature out there, there will be a court case and it would be evidence. You probably want to limit the number of potential jurors who are going to see it since a defense lawyer might challenge any juror who saw it.

There's also the films videos and publications act (ie normal censoring) but as other anon points out, we are allowed to watch the twin towers collapsing, and other bad things like that, so that aspect is a bit weak.

Says the Wairarapa Green Party candidate.

Somehow I don't think he represents the average kiwi farmer's views on gun laws.

(in case you're not kiwi) NZ plates start with three letters and have up to three numbers after, for the whole country, kek. There are some old ones with two letters and up to four numbers, and of course six letter personalised plates (and 4 digit yellow car dealer plates to complete the lesson kek)

Anyway, given that, the plate does match the car.
