What makes a child not tell?

Belief that it is normal.

I do think people should listen to those who experience sexual abuse as a child.

We know why we didn't tell anybody.

We believed our abusers that it was normal. We believed them that we should talk about it.

Okay. Mine abuser did not beat or harm me in the child abuse kind of way. There was no hitting, punching or other. Only sexual.

Maybe there is a difference between physical abuse, sexual abuse and both.
