Being punished for revealing the truth in the past..

Not knowing the truth.

Not having the opportunity.

Being kept away from those who do not know the truth.

Being or feeling completely isolated.

Seeing others rewarded for hiding the truth or fabricating a lie.

Those are all I can come up with.
