Yes, DJT is speaking to those who need a more formal and "dignified" approach to find his idea viable. For me, the speech was too formal–like other politicians. Not a criticism, it needed to be exactly what it was.
The ones who are awakening will not say so, not at first. I have friends like that. They are reluctant to say they may have misjudged Trump, that the Dems may be insincere. It's embarrassing.
There will always be die-hards who will never change, but I don't think of these as "normies," but hard-liners. We all know people like this in our lives, people who would rather die than admit they were wrong. But fortunately, most people aren't that stubborn. They can change.
